Abstract

Valmet Paper Machinery of Turku, Finland has developed a new filtering method for mechanical dewatering of sludge and suspensions without using expensive heat energy. The product based on this method, called Ecosuc, is similar to a vacuum disk filter and has applications in the chemical and mining industries as well as in metallurgy.
