Pigments and Resins — the future
Abstract
There is always someone ready to condemn the present in the name of the past; there are those too, who would have us stand still. In the realms of art these attitudes are met with to a large extent and the ‘revival’ rather than the ‘creation’ is safer box‐office. Therefore, the true artist who also carries a sense of commercial reality looks for ways of utilising his creative talents upon the revival. This is brilliantly illustrated when Diaghileff said: in order to revive Scheherazade it would be necessary to heighten all the colours, since memory would have made them seem tones brighter.
