Abstract

For those sports aficionados intending to converge on Barcelona for the Olympic Games in 1992 and aspiring to combine sightseeing with a fairly full spectator programme, here is a little advice. Barcelona has a lot to offer in terms of historical, architectural, maritime, artistic and cultural interest, and to explore and appreciate the city properly—and without the throngs inevitable in any Olympic Games venue—a visit in ‘low season’ is to be highly recommended.
