Bell College of Technology Library's computer serials system

Abstract

After a brief history of serials treatment in Bell College Library, the development of a computer serials list, run on the College's Burrough's B1714, is described. The initial system specification is given, together with details of record format and keys. Major print‐outs are described, but no program details are given. Finally, a system to deal with serials intake, based on non‐predictive techniques, is outlined, although it is not yet operational.
