On designing an automated circulation system for an Indian environment

Abstract

Any computer system must be capable of adapting to and serving the socio‐technical environment in which it is being developed. This is particularly true in the development of a circulation system for an Indian library. This communication reports on a system developed at the Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur.
