Abstract

With inexpensive (sometimes free) programs available that meet the needs of most libraries, almost any library can afford to introduce microcomputer based automation. Utilizing software such as dBASE II, almost any librarian can learn to write or modify programs to meet specific needs. This article contains two sidebars which contain programs to produce serials lists and to analyze serials collections. The programs are written for the IBM PC‐XT.
