Abstract
ECGD is a Government Department which provides insurance cover to exporters against non‐payment for goods or services by buyers overseas and provides guarantees to banks which assist in the provision of finance for export contracts. The Department has two headquarters locations (London and Cardiff). The following figures for the financial year 1982/83 give some idea of the scale of activity:
