Abstract
We have all heard how important it is to have a long‐term business strategy to guide an organization toward its stated goals. Yet, it should come as no surprise that many business leaders have yet to embrace the idea that sound strategies improve performance. Many still continue to accept the notion that rigorous day‐to‐day management of business activities can meet or exceed results obtained through strategic planning.
