Creativity and innovative abilities are key to entrepreneurial success
Creativity and innovative abilities are key to entrepreneurial success
The entrepreneurs behind Europe's fastest growing and most dynamic companies attribute their success above all to advanced skills in business strategy, negotiation and communication. In addition to these skills, 46 per cent of them rated "team building" as one of the significant components of successful entrepreneurial management-style. Based on the initial study of these entrepreneurs, included in the 1997 Europe's 500 Honorary Listing, the most important entrepreneurial skills range from planning and executing a sound business strategy, negotiating and communication, to presenting innovative ideas to the audience without any ambiguity (see Figure 1). Furthermore, the ability to seize opportunity whilst being creative and innovative ranked as the two most important factors in distinguishing an entrepreneur from other business professionals.
