RMS ionization system in North American building and cooling towers

Keyword Water industry

The RMS ionization system which is ideal for removing bio-film from the piping distribution systems for bacteria and legionella control in building and cooling towers is now to be used in North America. This follows a recent agreement between EHPC who designed and developed it, and the Florida based NVID International which has now gained the manufacturing, marketing and distribution rights for North America. The process has continued to expand into an ever widening range of applications.

The system treats all the incoming mains water at Charing Cross Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and Heathrow Airport.

The RMS ionization system delivers ions utilizing proprietary electrode technology as a method of water disinfection, and is designed to be a cost-effective alternative to chlorine for disinfecting large volumes of water in either single pass or re-circulation type water systems. The ions are metered into the process water by dousing pumps based on flow rates which insures a precise dosage of ions in parts-per-billion or parts per-million of ion concentrate.
