Miller Freeman and The Builder Group – two of the UK's largest construction, architecture and facilities publishing groups, have formed a joint venture company to focus on new opportunities in the events and exhibition market.

The new business, to be called Construction Exhibitions Limited, is a 50:50 joint venture that brings together, for the first time, the significant publishing and exhibition brands owned by the respective partners. These include Building Design, Building, Facilities Business, FM Expo, AEC Systems incorporating Construct IT, RIBA Journal, What's New in Building, Interior for Architects and Designers, Property Week and World Architecture.

Tony Keefe, group director at Miller Freeman said: "This is a significant announcement for the construction market. With the promotional power of our respective market leading titles, the exhibition management expertise of Miller Freeman and the relationships with the main trade bodies, this new business is well placed to deliver much needed clarity for companies seeking a true return on their exhibition investments".
