Andy Hines is currently the Sr Ideation Leader at Dow Chemical with a mission of using creativity, innovation, and futures tools and knowledge to turn ideas into new business opportunities. He previously established and ran a global trends program for the Kellogg Company. He is the Executive Director of the Association of Professional Futurists. He is also the "Hinesight" columnist for the journal foresight and former Emerging Technologies editor for The Futurist. He spent over six years as a staff futurist with Coates & Jarratt, Inc., a think tank and consulting firm specializing in the study of the future. He is co-author of 2025: Science and Technology Reshapes US and Global Society (Oak Hill, 1997), has published several dozen articles, and has appeared on MS-NBC, A & E's Time Machine series, on local television, as a guest author on the WELL, and on several radio programs. He has an M.S. Studies of the Future -- University of Houston Clear Lake, 1990.
