Humanomics, the International Journal of Systems and Ethics (HIJSE) is the first one of its kind in the international scholarly forum today to study ethics as endogenous force in systems of relationships between socio-scientific variables. Such variables remain embedded in relational learning pertaining to the problems under analysis. Thus the old concepts, such as optimality and linearity of parameters, are automatically replaced by continuous process-oriented evolutionary learning behavior in them. Humanomics sees such a pattern in everything to be the true depiction of socio-scientific reality. Complexity and simulation with learning variables and parameters of the inherent models replace the linear and optimal constructions of scientific nicety. Problem-solving is more difficult now. Yet the new methodological approach provides better and richer results in studying real issues, institutions, human preferences and policy instruments.
Papers presented in this issue of HIJSE are experiments. They do not yet authentically represent the philosophy upon which the principle of ethical endogeneity in Humanomics stands. Nonetheless, since the papers are addressing institutional and newer perspectives in theory and practice, they have been included in this issue as near substitutes for the ideal types. The papers have high value in expressing a pot-pourri of ideas upon which researchers can build and pursue research investigation along lines of ethics and systems treated as embedded and endogenous phenomenon.
Indeed, the study of ethics in everything has captured the best minds in recent times. Yet the endogenous nature of ethics in socio-scientific consciousness is of a most recent origin, although this has been in the books of religions, morality and ethics for all times.
We hope that many will join in this scholarly race to explain the theory of ethical consciousness in the most rigorous of ways. Humanomics invites such scholarly and rigorous contributions.
