Design/methodology/approach – Based on an interview with Jeremy Farmer, Aon’s senior vice president and head of human resources, describes the performance management system and remuneration system that have been introduced, discusses how they enable the company to retain highly-performing managers, and outlines how their success is measured. Findings – Judges the five-point performance rating system and the profit-based remuneration system to have been successful in developing a unified culture across the company’s offices in 120 countries worldwide.Originality/value – Profiles Aon’s approach to performance management and remuneration.Reference: 35AU110
