Spanish business association gets to grips with health and safety compliance

ASEPEYO, a leading business association in Spain that co-operates with the Spanish social-security administration, is helping subscribing businesses to increase workplace safety and reduce the risks and costs of failing to comply with health and safety legislation.

Government regulations in Spain require organizations to establish a plan for safety and the prevention of accidents. ASEPEYO's customers must comply with these regulations and ensure that each worker attends training for between 2 and 90 hours every three years, or risk significant fines. ASEPEYO will use Saba, a provider of training and management consultancy, to power its prevention programme and deliver e-learning.

"Saba and its alliance partner PricewaterhouseCoopers Spain offer us the comprehensive solution required to meet the compliance needs of our customers," said Ignacio Marina Aymerich, ASEPEYO training-department director. "In addition, the ability to deliver e-learning and blended learning is a key differentiator for ASEPEYO in the competitive market of safety training."
