IAIA’05: Ethics and Quality in Impact AssessmentBoston, Massachusetts, USA31 May to 3 JuneThe IAIA (International Association for Impact Assessment) 2005 conference event offers an opportunity for those who practice, pay for, review, are affected by, and litigate impact assessment to explore these issues. Pre-conference training courses and technical visits will also be offered. In addition, a one-day conference on environmental review documents under little NEPA will be held in conjunction with the Section of Environmental Energy and Resources of the American Bar Association. Workshop and session proposals are invited by 15 August 2004. Papers and posters are invited by 15 November on all aspects of the conference theme.

3rd Dubrovnik Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment SystemsDubrovnik, Croatia5-10 JuneThe purpose of the conference is to discuss the current trends and disseminate original, unpublished findings in the fields of energy, water and environment. All papers will be reviewed under the direction of the Scientific Advisory Board. Accepted papers will be required in English only, and will be published in the Conference CD-ROM. This officially registered CD-ROM will be distributed to the participants of the Conference, and will be sold directly by the publisher after the Conference. After the Conference selected number of papers will be published in the Proceedings by Swets & Zeitlinger Publishers. Authors are required to present their papers personally. Submissions are welcomed by authors from any country. Authors willing to present a paper should submit an abstract in English, up to one page, using a web form.

HEADWATER Control VIBergen, Norway20-23 JuneThe conference - Hydrology, Ecology and Water Resources in Headwaters - will address a wide range of water related topics, linking together several themes in rural development, land use and water conservation. It will also focus on the way different societies throughout history have perceived and used headwater areas in relation to the culture, tradition and religion.

The conference is convened jointly by the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE), International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS), and the International Association on Headwater Control (IAHC) at the University of Bergen, Norway
