Neos Robotics AB, the manufacturer of the industrial machine-tool robot Tricept has, through its integration partner PCI SA, received an order from BMW plant in Dingolfing. The sold machine tool robot system will process aluminum components. The total order value amounts to over 75 MSEK.

"We are honored to be selected in tough competition with all major suppliers of machine tools and this is a confirmation of the Tricept machine tool robot as the most cost effective solution for the automotive industry." says Per-Anders Holmström, president of Neos Robotics.

The 5-Axis Tricept machining system was chosen primarily because of its great flexibility and dynamics and will significantly ease all machining operations of parts to be made using the Tricepts (Plate 1). The facts that most parts can be machined in one single set up and that late changes in production can easily be made, in combination with the dynamics of the Tricept makes the Tricept very competitive.

Mr. Jörg König, responsible for Quotation and Projects at PCI says, "We are happy to have found a machine like the Tricept. In order to remain cost effective with all changes in the design that appears, even after the parts are in production, we need this flexibility to make changes constantly."
