Specialist machine builder forms automation partnership with ABB

ABB, the global power and automation technologies group, has announced a strategic partnership with Sewtec Automation Ltd, of Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, as part of its Global Partner Programme for robot-based automation (Plate 1).

Priding itself on being a “complete solution provider”, Sewtec Automation is a specialist machine builder and project engineering company, with a wealth of experience designing and manufacturing special purpose automated solutions, working predominantly in the food process, packaging, tobacco and pharmaceutical industries.

ABB continues to develop its Global Partner Programme throughout the UK, a scheme whereby key partners are provided with the necessary tools and information needed to succeed within an expanding market for robot-based automation. The Global Partner Programme reflects the worldwide trend for modularity within the automated manufacturing industries, which is itself due to4hs wide availability of high-quality, inexpensive robots and automation technology for system integrators and OEMs, from industry leaders such as ABB.
