"Knowledge management", "The strategic manager" and "The creative manager" are among the 15 new courses in the Institute of Personnel and Development's (IPD's) latest Training Directory.

In 1998, around 9,000 delegates attended IPD courses, which are designed to provide leading-edge thinking and practical skills for personnel and training professionals as well as managers at all levels who want to get the best from themselves and their people.

"People who continue to learn at any level are the key to success in today's constantly changing business environment", says Caroline Curtis, IPD Business Development Manager. "Training means tapping into people's skills, releasing their potential and giving them an opportunity to develop."

The new courses have been designed to complement the collection of courses, seminars and conferences already provided by IPD Training. With a total of 120 courses in the new directory, the IPD also provides up-to-date training on established areas such as employment law, management skills and strategies for recruitment, selection and reward.

All the courses emphasize learning practical skills from professional experts to provide delegates with cutting-edge expertise, challenge thinking, provide new insights and enhance knowledge.

To order a copy of the IPD course directory and for general infor-mation about IPD courses, seminars and conferences call the IPD Training Hotline on 0181 263 3434. Details are also available on the IPD's website: http://www.ipd.co.uk
