City & Guilds International qualifications are now available in 100 countries- a notable achievement for an organization relatively new to the international market. The landmark is particularly commendable as it was achieved in a time of global economic upheaval, which has seen a severe recession in Malaysia and the Far East, and the devaluation of currency in parts of Africa. Despite the economic situation there, business in South Africa is still booming.
Other growth markets include Russia, New Zealand and China where a recently signed national agreement with the Occupational Skills Testing Authority (OSTA) should provide thousands of new candidates.
International has recently developed several new programmes specifically for the changing needs of the international market. These include Construction, IT, Catering and Hospitality, Technician Awards in Engineering, Travel and Tourism qualifications and an International Teaching Programme.
City & Guilds International is now hoping to expand its market further and is looking towards India and the Americas.
