Call Centre College launches industry’s first PC-based candidate selection
Keywords: Recruitment, Testing, CD-ROM
An evolutionary way of selecting call centre staff has been announced by the Call Centre College (CCC), the sector’s leading accredited training organization. TeleWisdomTM is the first PC-based candidate recruitment assessment system designed exclusively for the call centre industry.
TeleWisdomTM is contained on a single CD-ROM and aims to enable call centre and human resource managers to design assessment tests which can be tailored to meet individual requirements. A comprehensive report provides detailed analysis of a candidate’s telephone manner, cognitive thinking patterns, comprehension, spelling and numerical skills. The system aims to ensure that recruitment criteria are consistently applied throughout the organization.
“Our experience shows that agents are hired on their skills and fired for their attitude”, said CCC general manager, Clive Knight. “By applying the behavioural pre-screening now available on CD for the first time, managers will achieve the successful placement of up to 85 per cent of candidates they put forward – that is twice the industry average.”
TeleWisdomTM, developed by CCC’s assessment division, is now available either through the purchase of individual CDs or under corporate licence.
