PowerGen launches new training business

Keywords Training, Energy industry

PowerGen UK has merged two businesses to create EmPower Training. The new business combines more than 40 years of training experience and expertise at PowerGen and East Midlands Electricity, acquired by PowerGen in 1998.

EmPower Training will provide training for the PowerGen Group and a wide cross-section of UK industry. The organization also has significant experience in providing training in Europe and Asia.

The new business will offer a range of training in electrical and engineering skills, including high and low voltage operations, control and instrumentation, electrical fitting and overhead line work. It also offers training for power plant operators on two simulators that replicate coal and gas-fired plant performance. Other courses include health and safety training, personal and team development, and NVQ-based programmes.

EmPower Training can be contacted on 0115 936 2129.
