Daedal Training has released another of their short training session packages, "An Introduction to Stress Management". The package covers:

  • the definition of stress and its causes;

  • the physical and mental effects of stress and how these affect personal and work-related behaviour;

  • the four main approaches to managing stress.

The session is suitable for any level of staff who need to understand how to deal with stress and is designed to be participative. It will last between one-and-a-half and three-and-a-half hours, depending on the depth of discussion and the number of optional topics, questionnaires and exercises provided.

The package is provided with electronic masters for participants' material in MS-Word 97, so that trainers can amend the material to suit their own organization's needs. Overhead transparencies are provided in the form of PowerPoint97 presentation slides that can also be printed out in black and white or in colour.

The package is available directly from Daedal Training Ltd, Pool House, South Hill, Chislehurst, Kent BR7 5EF. Tel: 0181 467 8220; Fax: 0181 467 8225; E-mail: enquiries@daedal-training.com The price (£145.00 plus VAT) includes the right to copy from the electronic masters for training the organization's own staff. There is also a free on-approval service for in-house trainers.
