Italy seeks to boost training quality

Italy seeks to boost training quality

The Italian government has introduced a new system of accrediting training institutions and has set minimum requirements that every training institution must observe when organizing courses.

The system targets all public and private-sector institutions that organize publicly funded training and career guidance. It is designed to ensure that the institutions have properly trained and supervised staff in place, and that they have close links with local employers.

Italy's regional authorities are charged with implementing the new arrangements, which are tailoredaccording to the teaching methods used, type of people being trained and the level of training to be achieved.
