Note: This column is different than previous ones for it only contains entries of new books and some timely publication announcements. It was determined that we could not successfully keep up with journal entries in a timely way with publication deadlines what they were, and that body of literature most librarians had better and alternative means to access. We remain interested in learning your response to this list of new publications and content style. The focus of the column is on content relevant to library systems and technology applications or general library science titles readers may be interested in.

This DigiCULT study was conducted by Salzburg Research Forschung-sgesellschaft mbH for the European Commission DG Information Society.

The theme of the study is "Empowering cultural heritage institutions to unlock the value of their collections". The executive summary to the report is available online in English, French, German, and Italian, and in both HTML and PDF formats. The full report will be available soon in PDF format.
