This book is a compilation of 50 suggestions as to how to help organisations develop their potential. Some examples include: directors as role models, action learning, managing knowledge workers, barriers to learning, mentoring and exchanging knowledge. Each suggestion is several pages long and has useful references to further reading. These suggestions are general in nature and do not go into any significant detail. The tone is normative and prescriptive, and reflects the author's experience of working with managers.
In many respects much of what this book contains would be considered good management practice. The 50 suggestions can be viewed as a useful list of items which managers would want to ensure is happening in their organisations.
