Danish plans to deliver €35m green investments

Article Type: News From: Management of Environmental Quality: An International Journal, Volume 21, Issue 3

The Danish Government has issued two draft action plans specifying actions for delivering investments of €23 million and €12 million respectively in chemicals regulation and green technology agreed by the Parliament in October. The four-year chemicals plan focuses on endocrine disruptors and cocktail effects. Additional priorities for chemicals include REACH implementation and a focus on allergies and multiple chemical hypersensitivity, biocides and nanotechnology.

The green technology plan is expected to boost Danish environmental exports “partly because the environmental industry will have new opportunities for economic aid, in such areas as water, waste and air pollution,” according to a statement.
