DH Industries' new Customer Product Testing Laboratory at Basildon, Essex, is fully equipped with a complete range of pilot-scale facilities for the evaluation of chemical formulations and for establishing optimum product mixing requirements. The company offers consultancy and full scale solutions for mixing, dispersing, filtration and packaging processes.

Sample quantities of product from 0.5 to 10 kg can be produced on scaleable equipment. DH Industries has recently undertaken projects involving low and very high viscosity materials, including PVC plastasols, PU sealants, and the mixing of printing inks, filled epoxy coatings and adhesives.

The company offers a range of processing equipment on which customers can develop their product processing requirements. For example, Molteni of Italy has worked with DH Industries since the early 1970s. Molteni specialises in mixing and dispersing under vacuum and offers a standard range of over 60 mixers, including single and multi-shaft designs, using combinations of disperser, butterfly or planetary systems. Triple roll mills and bead mills are also available.

Ge-Halin, the German manufacturer of filling presses for adhesives, sealants and mastics has also been represented by DH Industries since the 1970s. It offers a variety of machines suitable for packaging all thixotropic and high viscosity products into cartridges, tubes, cans or buckets.
