New products from Zeneca Resins

NeoCryl XK-65This product is an experimental rheology controlled styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion which claims outstanding salt spray corrosion resistance and excellent high build spraying properties when used in metal primers.

NeoCryl XK-14A self-crosslinking emulsifier free copolymer emulsion. Industrial wood coatings based on NeoCryl XK-14 exhibit good resistances, transparency, wood wetting properties and flow.

NeoPac E-115A urethane acrylic copolymer dispersion which according to Zeneca when used as the basis for furniture coatings, provides excellent flow and wood wetting properties and good resistance to chemicals and solvents.

NeoRez R-2040A new aliphatic fatty acid modified polyurethane dispersion providing high chemical resistance combined with similar wood wetting properties compared to solvent based polyurethane-alkyds. High abrasion resistance and excellent black heel marks resistance are combined in a one component water-based system for parquet lacquers.

NeoRez R-550A polyurethane dispersion, designed to function as a base polymer in contact adhesives. The product claims an excellent contactability, a long open time and good adhesion to a variety of substrates.

NeoRez R-551New co-solvent free polyurethane dispersion for one component heat activated and cold contact adhesives for automotive and industrial lamination applications. NeoRez R-551 is said to attain high heat resistance without the need of additional crosslinker.

NeoRez R-560A cosolvent free polyurethane dispersion for use a base polymer for formulating adhesives for the shoe, industrial lamination, flooring and automotive industries. It has optimal balance between green strength and final cohesion with a broad formulation window. It claims excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates with low activation temperature of 60-70°C. Ideally suited for industrial lamination. High heat resistances can be obtained by crosslinking with isocyanate as a two component system.

NeoRez R-600A polyurethane dispersion designed to function as an anchorage primer for acrylic and PVDC top coats onto filmic substrates.

NeoRez U-335As a result of its broad compatability with other resins and solvents and its excellent flexibility and adhesion properties, this semi-film forming PU resin is said to be a very suitable base resin for formulating flexo and gravure inks for packaging films that can be subsequently glue laminated.

NeoCryl BT-34An alkali soluble acrylic copolymer, exhibiting high viscosity at relatively low solids content. Suitable to formulate low cost water-based flexographic inks for paper and cardboard.

NeoCryl A-1081An acrylic based, ready to use, paper coating, exhibiting good fat and grease resistance and low Cobb-value with excellent anti-blocking properties. Also suitable for OPV applications.

NeoCryl B-890A low molecular weight, solid, acrylic resin, exhibiting complete alcohol solubility, combined with excellent compatibility with NC, CAP, PVB and PU. Suitable for various flexographic and gravure printing applications.

NeoCryl TX-200Is an acrylic emulsion based on a new concept for decorative paints and stands for a brand new product family from Zeneca Resins.

When used as a binder in decorative paints, this product claims advantages in terms of viscosity behaviour exhibiting traditional solvent based alkyd paints like application properties both for DIY and the professional decorator.

It is believed that every desired viscosity and thixotropy can be attained by means of special additives, as a result of which flow and non-sagging properties can be optimised.

Other advantages claimed of NeoCryl TX-200 are: ample brushability or open time, compatibility with tinting systems, wet adhesion on undercoats, non blocking and quick recoatability.

NeoCryl XK-95Is a new acrylic emulsion specially designed for wooden joinery window, door frames and other joinery applications.

It is reported that transparent varnishes formulated with this product can be applied as a finish with high film thickness as a single coat, which enables high production speeds. Other specific advantages and properties of NeoCryl XK-95 are: early water resistance (blushing), early stockability, alkaline resistance, i.e. against mortar and plasters, wet adhesion on alkyd, wood impregnation and the excellent outdoor durability exhibited in its transparent appearance.

NeoPac E-140Is a new acrylic-polyurethane dispersion for application in quick drying wood protection systems for industrial joinery coatings.

The specific advantages and properties claimed of NeoPac E-140 are: early and good water and blocking resistance at high coat thickness, resistance against mechanical impacts, such as damage done by hailstorms.

Optimum outdoor resistance is only achieved in varnishes and clear lacquers owing to lack of elasticity in hiding systems.

NeoPac E-140 contains a so-called wet adhesion promoter, for optimum adhesion on various wood impregnation systems.
