British Coatings Federation wins status as National Training Organisation

Keywords Coatings, Training, United Kingdom

The distinctive identity of the UK's £2 billion coatings industry the producers of paints and printing inks and the continuing success of the training programmes of its trade association, the British Coatings Federation (BCF) have won for BCF Government recognition as one of the newly created National Training Organisations (NTOs).

Confirming his decision, David Blunkett, Secretary of State for Education and Employment, says that Government will be looking to BCF on behalf of the coatings industry to advise and take the lead on national strategies. BCF will be working in partnership with other organisations in and outside the industry, building on BCF's long-term experience, training methods and materials.
