ICL wins Duke of Westminster Award

Industrial Copolymers Limited (ICL), the Preston-based manufacturer of specialist resins and polymers for the coatings, adhesives, sealants and cementitious industries, has been declared the winner of a coveted award.

The Duke of Westminster Awards for Business and Industry in the North West were recently hosted in Manchester, where it was announced that ICL had won the category for companies with 1-50 employees. Entrants for the prestigious accolade were judged on commercial, technical and financial success, the company's support for the region, employee relations, commitment to the workforce and training policies.

ICL's joint managing director, Dr Len Daniels, collected a crystal chalice at the awards ceremony to mark the achievement (Plate 12).

"We are absolutely delighted to win this award, which confirms our standing in the business community and identifies the company as a leader in its field," he said.
