Baxenden Chemicals Ltd has announced three changes to its senior management team.

Following the retirement of Alan Taylor, who led the company for 26 years, Norman Gee has taken up the reins as the new Group managing director. Previously general manager of the Polyurethane Systems Division, Norman Gee is a trained chemist and has 20 years' varied experience at Baxenden, including roles as technical manager and commercial development manager (Plate 14).

One of the new faces at the company is Anne Marie Stannard, who recently took up her post as general manager of the Polyurethane Systems Division following Norman Gee's promotion. She is a chemical graduate from the University of Liverpool and has an MSc in Chemistry. Anne Marie Stannard joined the company from EVC where she held a senior management position, after a period at ICI.

The other recently appointed general manager at Baxenden is Tim Hughes who heads the Speciality Chemicals Division. A chemistry graduate from Manchester University he has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management. Tim Hughes joined the company from Courtaulds where he gained senior management experience in both speciality chemicals and fibres.
