William M. Landuyt, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Millennium Chemicals Inc., Red Bank, NJ, has been elected to receive the chemical industry's ninth annual Kavaler Award for chemical CEO excellence. He was chosen by the votes of a selection committee composed of leading chemical investment research analysts as being the chemical CEO, who "by his vision, integrity and management skills, made the most unique contribution to the growth and success of his company".
The Kavaler Award, the industry's highest recognition for CEO achievement, is sponsored as a service to the industry by Schnell Publishing Company, New York-based publisher of the weekly Chemical Market Reporter since 1871.
