Round tubed halogen lamps

Keywords Heraeus, Lighting

A new range of round tubed, halogen short wave infrared lamps, which can be readily interchanged with most commercially available halogen lamps, can now be supplied direct from stock by Heraeus Noblelight Ltd, of Bromborough.

The new lamps are manufactured to a high specification, in a range of five standard socket configurations. They are offered as standard or twin tube emitters, in all the commonly applied wavelengths, at lengths to suit the particular process. Heraeus reports that its gold reflector ensures that 95 per cent of the emitted radiation is directed at the workpiece, although emitters can be supplied without a reflector or with a less efficient reflector, if required.

The lamp outputs range from 500W to 3,650W and typical applications include drying, evaporation, gelling, softening, hardening, tempering, forming, gluing, brazing, laminating, disinfecting and baking. As such, the lamps can be used on materials such as latex, foils, paper carpets, textiles, plastics, glass, wood, chipboard, insulation board, furniture, fibres, car bodies, castings, membranes, leather and foodstuffs. They are also believed to be ideal for drying and curing lacquers, powder coatings, water coatings, primers, paints and dyes, printing inks, thin films, glazing, pastes, glues and adhesives.
