LabSystems' releases upgrade for leading sample manager lIMS
LabSystems continues to upgrade its world-leading laboratory information management system sample manager to meet changing customer needs, with the release in Quarter 1999 of version 4.1. Version 4.1 brings all the desktop ease-of-use and integration functionality to other supported platforms (UNIX and OVMS) that is already offered by the NT version of sample manager.
Sample manager v4.1 is LabSystems' enterprise LIMS, with proven 3-tier client/server architecture running on a wide variety of platforms and is web-enabled for intranet and extranet usage, with full security. Both Enterprise and Process: Enabled, sample manager has links to software from SAP, Baan, Oracle, JD Edwards, AspenTech, Ross and OSI PI.
For v4.1, the graphical user interface (GUI) of sample manager has been optimized further, with more Explorer interface cues. In v4.1, the sample manager GUI has been extended to provide Explorer interface to Auditor and Standards control. Improvements to GLP and GMP compliance have been built into sample manager v4.1, part of which is the provision of Electronic signatures to FDA Final Rule 21 CFR part 11.
Sample manager v4.1 supports the Y2K compliant versions of Intel NT, AXP/OVMS, Digital Unix, HP-UX, IBM AIX and the Oracle database. It therefore represents a bridge for all LabSystems' existing and prospective customers to the state-of-the-art Windows NT based LIMS.
