Gerry Breslin, 47, has been appointed sales and marketing director of Fillworth, the Seaham, UK-based designer and manufacturer of mixing equipment for the adhesive and paint industries.
Fillworth, founded in 1978 is entering a new stage in its development since it was acquired by John Dixon and David Rutter in 1997 and is looking to build on its strengths in the UK and increase its international market share.
Breslin, who was awarded a first class engineering and marketing degree from Huddersfield and an MBA from Durham University Business School in the mid 1970s, has a strong background in export marketing and has worked in all five continents. He has worked in a range of markets and spent 14 years with Staffordshire Potteries, rising to president of Staffordshire Potteries USA Inc. and joins Fillworth after four years as group export sales director for Laird Security Systems.
