Trimite has introduced a new water soluble modified clear stoving varnish for electrical insulating applications "Aqua-Therm VBC365" designed specifically for use on open-wound stators, transformers and other static windings, as well as on low to medium peripheral speed armatures.
Aqua-Therm VBC365 reportedly combines high film build in one coat with low VOC emission (less than 10 per cent on curing), is highly stable in storage tanks and cures rapidly at low temperatures.
Other important properties claimed include high bond strength and flexibility, good moisture resistance and electrical characteristics and no corrosive effect on copper. With a continuous Class H (180°C) rating and a high flash-point, the product is also extremely safe. It is supplied in either 25 litre or 200 litre containers.
