Bran + Luebbe Limited has announced that its InfraProver II NIR spectrophotometer is now available with a Solids Presentation Accessory (SPA) and a Liquids Presentation Accessory (LPA), providing QA operatives with the capability to extend the range of applications that this innovative analyzer can perform.
These two new additions brings the number of sampling devices to four, the others being bundled glass-fibres optic for taking reflectance measurements of powders and fibre optic transmission probe for liquids.
The SPA device will also allow users to measure single tablets or to analyze foil, papers and textiles. The sample positioning mechanism ensures simple, reproducible sample presentation without the need for any preparation of the sample.
Changing over from the fibre optic probe to the SPA is said to be simple and fast, taking just a few seconds a further example of the InfraProver's flexibility and suitability for all eventualities.
The Liquid Presentation Accessory unit provides the InfraProver II with enhanced capabilities for analysing liquids. Qualitative and quantitative analysis by transmission speetroseopy is performed on samples contained in vials of diameters of up to 50mm O.D. which are placed in the unit. The LPA contains arrangements for adjusting the unit to the size of the vials and for adjusting the area of illumination to minimize stray light and dispersion effects.
