Through its commitment to environmental protection, the Du Pont Fluoroproducts manufacturing facility at Dordrecht, The Netherlands, has been awarded ISO 14001 certification of its environmental management system (EMS) for the production and supply of Teflon PTFE, FEP, PFA, and AF polymers, Tefzel, Zonyl, Suva, Dymel, Freon, Formacel, Vertrel, TFE and HFP monomers, and HCl.
"Continuously improving Du Pont's environmental performance is a core value and a business priority. The successful ISO 14001 audit and certification of our environmental management system by accredited registration body Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance is a clear demonstration of our commitment to that policy", said David Peet, Dordrecht site director and unit manager - Fluoroproducts.
The company, through its subsidiary Du Pont de Nemours (Nederland) BV, has invested over US$10 million in recent years on facility improvements at Dordrecht that substantially reduce, recover and recycle hazardous waste in its fluoroproducts facilities.
