Merck’s silver pearlescent pigment has been used to create a striking lustre effect on the recently launched Holsten Pure 6 bottles.
The Iriodin1 pigment reportedly creates a deep silver/white colour that subtly appears to change intensity when viewed from different angles. It has been used on all Hoisten Pure 6 glass bottles, which are now available at pubs and clubs throughout the UK.
Packaging specialist Decorative Sleeves printed the design using Merck’s state of the art special effect pigment. It has worked with Merck Ltd on a number of packaging projects and both companies are founder members of the Packaging Solutions Advice Group, which aims to keep designers and marketeers up-to-date with the latest packaging developments www.psag.co.uk.
Merck’s Iriodin pigments are said to be exceptionally versatile and not only found in packaging applications but also throughout architecture, interior design, printing, plastics and the automotive industry.
