Recently introduced to the market is NeoPac E-111, an aliphatic urethane-acrylic copolymer dispersion designed for industrial wood coatings which reportedly exhibits outstanding block and imprint resistance.

According to the manufacturers, this new, emulsifier-free, copolymer dispersion has been specially designed for panel and furniture coatings used on fast industrial application lines. NeoPac E-111 coatings claim to be scratch resistant and to have excellent flow and wood wetting properties, with good resistance to solvents, chemicals and hand cream. Starting formulations for clear and pigmented coatings are available on request.

NeoResins (formerly Zeneca Resins) develops, markets and manufactures water-based and other environmentally-friendly products, using a wide range of technologies, encompassing acrylics, urethanes, urethane-acrylics, vinyl acrylics and other copolymers for the coatings, adhesives and graphic arts industries.

The company has manufacturing sites in the UK, Spain, The Netherlands, and in North and South America. NeoResins, a business unit of Avecia (formerly Zeneca Specialties) is headquartered in The Netherlands.
