As part of the restructuring of Thermo Electron, LabSystems announces Thru-Put Systems Inc. will join LabSystems to form the new Information Management Group of the Life Sciences division of Thermo Electron.
In this reorganisation, Thru-Put's development, support, sales and marketing operations will merge into those of LabSystems. Thru-Put will continue to develop its successful TargetTM family of products and will remain located at its USA offices in Orlando, Florida.
In joining with LabSystems, Thru-Put joins a $40m company considered to have a truly global presence that is dedicated to providing world-class laboratory software solutions, support and implementation services. With sales, support and professional services staff located in offices throughout the world, LabSystems provides Thru-Put with a global reach through over 290 LabSystems staff experienced in servicing the software requirements of laboratories in a wide range of industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical and environmental.
The combined company will retain the LabSystems name and will be a private subsidiary of the new Thermo Electron (NYSE: TMO), a $2,400m corporation focused on scientific instrumentation.
