Hans-Jürgen Alfort, managing director, has retired from the management of DuPont Pulverlack Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG in Landshut, Germany.

Hans-Jürgen, a graduate engineer, looks back on a long, successful career in the coatings industry. He joined the company – then named Becker Powders – as managing director in 1988. Drawing on his more than 20 years' experience in the powder coatings sector, he built the German company into a cornerstone of DuPont's powder coatings business unit and a technological pioneer.

Hans-Jürgen also represents the powder coatings business in several groups of the German and European paint associations, where he enjoys an excellent reputation. He is chairman of the Powder Coatings group of the European CEPE paint association and Board member of "Gütegemeinschaft für die Stückbeschichtung von Bauteilen" (GSB).

Michel Riva, global marketing director powder, has temporarily assumed the position of managing director of DuPont Pulverlack Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Landshut, in addition to his existing functions. Michel, who holds an MBA from IMD, held management positions in various international industries for several years. In recent years, he has been instrumental in building and establishing the DuPont Polymer Powders unit on a global scale and has managed this business with great success.
