DuPont have announced that DuPont Vice President, Alan Titus, 62, will retire after more than 37 years of service.

“Al’s contributions to DuPont have been notable throughout his distinguished career. He has helped our company grow in key markets and continuously improves our global competitiveness,” said Gary M. Pfeiffer, DuPont Chief Financial Officer.

Titus has served the company in a wide range of assignments in sales, marketing, planning and both operations and business management. He led the integration of the ICI nylon businesses into DuPont in the early 1990s, giving the company a major presence in the European region. He also led the creation of DuPont Global Services, an organization which transformed centralized staff functions and services used by DuPont businesses into a demand-driven business model. Under Titus’ leadership and management, DuPont Global Services became a model organization among DuPont peer companies.

Most recently, Titus has led the corporate team for the planned separation of DuPont Textiles and Interiors.
