Reichhold announces creation of coatings “Business Development” team
Reichhold Inc. announced the creation of a team of Business Development representatives focusing on new- product introductions in the coatings industry. The team is organized by product type and includes four longtime coatings-technology veterans: Jeff Danneman and Carol Williams – Alkyds and Oils; Rick Caldwell – Urethanes and Acrylics; and Tim Takas – Powders and Specialties. Reichhold is a major supplier of coatings resins.
Rodney Biddle, Vice-President for North American Coatings, said the Business Development representatives will spend approximately half of their time in the field, working directly with customers and personally facilitating new-product introductions.
“Reichhold's technical organization has developed a large number of differentiated products over the years,” Biddle said. “However, the introduction of these products in the marketplace has not equaled the success we've met within the lab. We believe a critical technical interface has been missing in the past, and have moved to address this need”. He said the team would support the introduction of new products and “help us properly re-introduce a number of products, which we feel hold great promise to meet the needs of both new and existing coatings customers”.
