Rhodia PPMC renamed Rhodia Performance Coatings & Services
Rhodia PPMC announced its new enterprise name, Rhodia Performance Coatings & Services (PC&S). The new name reflects its three core businesses: performance paints and coatings, specialty additives for the building industry and service chemistry. It also illustrates the enterprise's profile by pointing at both its ongoing and new business activities, therefore improving the public's understanding of its businesses.
With a wide range of technologies, Rhodia PC&S ranks among the world leaders in surface protection and embellishment. The enterprise serves high added value markets including industrial coatings, especially automotive, with its “isocyanates” technology and decorative paints and specialty additives for the building industry with its “latex” technology. With 1,600 employees worldwide, Rhodia Performance Coatings & Services generated net sales of 527 million in 2004.
