Cornelius Group PLC, a full service organisation and established distributor of speciality chemicals, was delighted with the interest generated on its stand at this year's European Coatings Show.

On show for the first time was a goniospectrophotometer, a unique state of the art instrument that defines and measures colours in a process known as colorimetry. By quantifying colour in pigments and coatings it can accurately measure special effect colours such as pearlescent and metallic pigments (an area where Cornelius is a recognised expert). Goniospectrophotometers are also an important research tool for solar engineering, plant biochemistry and remote sensing.

Steve Tuffley, Divisional Director for Cornelius, commented, “Without question the show was a big success for us. We knew there could be exciting new opportunities arising from the Show and we weren't disappointed. The goniospectrophotometer created a lot of interest and we had very good reports from existing and potential customers. We'll certainly look at doing more international shows in future”.

This was the first time that Cornelius had exhibited outside the UK and was recognition that the international stage is growing.

The show also featured details of the current major expansion of its group technical support facility, which will enable the group to assist customers in creativity and product development.

The Cornelius Group is a leading supplier of raw materials to specialist industries, including the cosmetic and personal care markets, and is fast developing a strong position as a key supplier to the composites market.
