Anti-corrosion coatings for the Rockies Pipeline Project

ShawCor Ltd announced that its subsidiaries, Shaw Pipe Protection Ltd and ShawCor Pipe Protection, LLC, have received a contract from Oregon Steel Mills, Inc. to provide anti- corrosion and internal flow efficiency coatings for a portion of the Kinder Morgan Rockies Express Pipeline Project. Approximately 1,230km of 42inch pipe for the initial phase of this project will be coated with fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) and internal flow efficiency coatings. This large diameter 2,682km pipeline will transmit natural gas from gas fields in Colorado and Wyoming to consumers in the Midwest and the Eastern USA.
