NEI completes buildout of its US manufacturing facility

NEI Corporation, a provider of nanoengineered materials completed the first phase of its manufacturing facility in Somerset, New Jersey. The 9,200 sq.ft facility is configured to produce up to 200 tons of its patented line of additives for polymer coatings, and other specialty nanomaterials. The facility also houses R&D operations and material testing and characterization functions. The company began construction of the Somerset plant in early 2006 and has flexibility to produce multiple products with little changeover downtime. In addition, the company is currently planning for the next phase of plant expansion with an ultimate goal of producing more than 1,000 tons annually.
