Sigmakalon takes over Dr A Schoch AG industrial paints
The Sigmakalon Group is buying the Swiss company, Dr A. Schoch AG, a medium-sized company that is known in the sector for industrial – and effect paints as well as powder coatings. The aim is for the two companies to jointly develop new markets and complement each other in the areas of service, sales and product development. Dr A. Schoch AG, based in Burgdorf/Germany, employs 65 staff and has long been a supplier of paints and coatings to the Swiss machine-building industry. The ownership of the company, which has been family-run for six generations, will now change. The Netherlands-based Sigmakalon Group, with approximately 10,000 staff in 40 countries, is taking over the Swiss company from August 2007. Production will continue as before. The integration of Dr A. Schoch AG into the international Sigmakalon network opens up new marketing channels for high-quality liquid paint and leading edge powder paint products.
